The University of Florida Environmental Coalition of Organizations (UF ECO)

is a formative collaboration powered by #Unlitter. 

​

What We Do

Each fall and spring, the coalition will host a general body meeting for all students as well as the Gainesville community to attend. This will inform all members of the community on the various projects that are happening on and off campus and invite them to attend events and collaborate. Calendar of events for all 17 members of the coalition can be found here.  â€‹

Mission

Facilitate discussion between UF and Gainesville sustainability organizations to promote collaboration and boost off-campus opportunities to expand students' involvement in making our lives, campus, and community more green.

How to Join

All Gainesville non-profits, UF Student Organizations, and non-UF affiliated organizations are welcome and encouraged to apply. Join UF ECO by filling out the application and expect to receive more information via email. Organizations will be onboarded on a rolling basis.

Expectations and Guidelines

After completing the form and applying on behalf of your organization, each semester your organization will be expected to: 

1)Send at least one member of your team to UF ECO representative planning meetings held once a month. 

  • during these meetings we cover ideas, events, and general discussion regarding participation and being an active member of the coalition.

  • encourage ways to facilitate collaboration amongst clubs etc.  

 

2) Take part in the #UFECO General Body Meeting at the beginning of the fall and spring. Which are open to all students and community members.

  • we ask that each organization create 1 slide to present during the presentation.

 

3) Commit to promoting sustainability in your organization in collaboration with #UNLITTERUF 

 

4) Actively engaged in making our vision into a reality:)

 

5) Update #UFECO calendar with all your events so students can be aware of all opportunities available. 

  • once form is submitted we will send over a calendar invite so you can update all events which will be posted on our website and social media!
